Learning Patience.....

Well, I have heard that all new moms must learn patience. This little baby is definitely teaching Tony and I patience. We went in around 1030pm last night. Contractions were coming pretty good at 5-10 min apart. I wasn't feeling as "leaky" as earlier, but we were still instructed to come in and get checked out. Come to find out, you can have a "high" break in the water that can seal itself off. Or I just need to invest in adult diapers and deal with incontinence. :) The baby looked great on the fetal monitor even through the stronger contractions, but they didn't seem to be doing much in prepping his way out. Needless to say, they sent us home around midnight. Slightly bummed, Tony and I went out for Sonic shakes and then came home to rest. Uneventful night. Simple contractions that didn't "go" anywhere. And we are still waiting to snuggle a little boy.

Good news - he is still really active and so low now I can see my rib cage for the 1st time in 9 months :)

So it's official. Baby boy is on his way. Felt pretty crappy since last night, kind of like I was getting the flu. So I stayed home from work today and pretty much slept all morning long. When I woke up at 2 this afternoon, I figured out that I may need to invest in depends. :) Yes, water broke but it was just a slow leak. Called the nurse midwife and they said as long as my little boy was still moving (which he ALWAYS is) and I wasn't bleeding I would have 12 hours to get up to the hospital. So made a trip to Walmart to pick up some last minute things. Packed the bags and now just chillin til Tony gets home from work. Having contractions, but nothing major yet. Hopefully things start to speed up so this doesn't drag out too long. Still planning on going as natural as possible. Don't won't to be induced and forced into anything.

Only 1 question remains....what the heck are we going to call this little boy???? Tony and I are just sure we are going to have to see him 1st before deciding on a name.

Prego Pictures!!

So most women when they are 8-9 months along avoid all cameras. Yes, I do have to say I look at pictures of myself and I do wonder what has happened to my face and body. However, I also think that if done right, pregnant women can look beautiful behind the camera. So Tony and I decided to hire, Courtney, Chuck and Lita's youngest girl, to take some prego pics :) I have to say, she does an amazing job. Here are just a couple snipits of her work. Can't wait to see more. These were taken on August 7th - less than a month to go!! (I guess it helps to wear black- slimming!) Don't worry, there are some really good ones coming of just the belly :)

The little man's spoiled already!!

Thanks to many friends and family, this little boy got a great baby shower on July 17th. Lita Smith hosted a fun get-together in her yard with amazing food by Lia Young and beautiful decorations by Christy Williams.
